Forums - Sales - Were we undertracking Call of Duty World at War on the Wii?

If WaW sells a million for Wii (which it will), are people going to finally accept it as a success?

DaGreatestHope, leave the thread. You're not contributing anything. Resistance 2 had a helluva lot more hype and coverage than Call of Duty on the Wii.

NPD showed higher figures for the game than Vgchartz had so it got adjusted.

Remember that hype that Wii controls will be the best thing for FPS? So Wii motion controls for FPS hav helluva alot more hype and coverage than the outdated analog set up on the HD consoles.

So therefore FPS should be selling expectionally well on the Wii if thats the case.

The only Wii-exclusive FPS yet has passed a million. HD consoles had tons since release.

i dont think its a huge success, but there are alot of positives to make the nect version a huge success for the franchise on the wii... hey this might surprise us and go way past the million mark who knows.

And one thing should be mentioned, that even if it doesn't get as much sales as the PS3 and 360 versions, if it achieves a good profit i don't think Activision would mind releasing another version, and that is a success to some extent especially on the Wii

Nope. People will then go for the "Wii has a bigger userbase, it should sell over twice as much as the PS3 version in order to not be a total flop" argument.

PS3 version of Guitar Hero sells nothing compared to Wii/Xbox360; I don't see Activision canning it though, as it generates enough profit...

I kind of like how the goalposts keep getting moved back, because the Wii tends to just move forward and meet the new goals.

I think VGC might still be a little short on CoD:WaW Wii estimates, but it's hard to know for sure with NPD public info being so incomplete. I'm glad the correction came in so quickly, though. Good response.
