 Hardware data for the period 12th Jan 2008 to 12th Jan 2008:

Console Wii PS3 X360
Total
215,034
200,170
153,547

For 03rd Jan 2009 - 10th Jan 2009:

360: 250,000
PS3: 200,000

So yes, PS3 was flat.  360 gained big.  Phew, and I thought we are in for a video game recession.   Please ignore number from original post below.  Sorry for all the confusion.  I will ask admin to lock this thread.

VGChartz Hardware data for the period 05th Jan 2008 to 12th Jan 2008:

This may be the start of a worrying down trend for 2009!   360 sales are down some 30% for the same week. and PS3 sales are down more than 100% for the same week.    This really surprised me.  I though that both PS3 and 360 would be +- 10% of last years number.  Why?  Is the videogame recession starting to rear its head?

The PS3 has pretty much reached a point of saturation at its current price. Games may provide small spikes but most likely will not last longer than a week or two.

You added 2 weeks together for the 2008 data but only used 1 week from 2009. 360 is on track with last year, the PS3 is still way down though.
