Forums - Sales - I just noticed something strange...

I was looking at the worldwide hardware sales for all consoles and something there is definately wrong with the sale numbers for the Xbox 360 (unless I'm reading it wrong)... According to what I read there, the total hardware sales as of March 2007 is 10.9 million consoles sold, yet on the main page it is currently at 10.43 million sold. How is it that in March of 2007 the Xbox 360 has sold more than... it has now in August 2007? What is correct here? I'm really confused.

Ok, so I was reading it wrong. Thanks.

No you werent reading it wrong. You read it right. But when microsoft sells a system they sell it to the store. Since its no longer theirs. So at march 07 they sold(to retail) 10.9 million. So no you didnt read it wrong.

the worldwide half-yearly numbers on this site are the shipped numbers taken directly from the financial reports of the respective companies.
