Yea, if you're taken down, everybody can hear you if they're nearby.

 

But only your team mates can hear you if you're still alive?

I can never figure out who can hear what when, and it keeps me from shouting out plans for fear of the other team over hearing.

If you are in a squad, you get your own dedicated channel so you can "shout out plans" all you want

its hit or miss for me....i dont try to use it unless we have a spawn in the middle of a defend or destroy and i cant see anything....but generally you have to hold L1 AFTER you sort of have them in your sights and it only sort of "tags" them so you have to move the reticle over them and it sort of locks on....again hit or miss.

 

A throwback to the KZ1 days, eh?  xD

It's Search & Destroy in this one. Though personally I think they should've made it Seek & Destroy, to differentiate it from Search & Retrieve, and to make it an homage to the excellent Metallica song, lol.

And that helps.  I seem to recall that happening when I was playing earlier.  Hopefully when they patch this it'll lessen the amount of shotty spammers.

 

haha, thatd be pretty sweet....you know those crazy dutchmen have to love metallica....and add in a special online gamemode Ride the Lightning where one team member has the lightning gun on each side and you have to use it to destroy something in the base......actually that doesnt sound too bad at all, take note GG!

So you can hear others but they can't hear you?  I'm always in a squad, but I swear when I'm getting pissy at blazinhead when he kills me with the shotgun, he's yelling back. xD

Tbh, I only recently noticed that it wasn't Seek & Destroy.  I even called it Seek & Destroy in the preview I wrote up back in December.

If you are dead, laying on the ground, everyone around you can hear you.  Both teams.  Pretty funny if you go on a rampage you can hear the dead guys cursing your name =P

 why do you have to run out of ammo before you use it? its probably one of the best weapons in the game. 2 shots= kill, if they're a litte injured(as most people are when you run into them) 1 shot=kill. Its very accurate, has unlimited of ammo and easy to aim with. People with shotgun and sniper might take you down though.
