Difference is that you were comparing it to a game that hasn't even been shown yet. And for the COD4 reference, we'll have to wait until KZ2 comes out. LBP didn't look like fun either when I saw gameplay vids, but when I played it, it was awesome. You can't judge on things, especially since you have already made up your mind, seeing how COD6 will definitely blow this one out of the water, without you having played either. (people claiming that KZ2 will definitely be better than COD6 are in the wrong as well, just as much as you were with your COD6 reference).

I disagree. What I inferred from your counter-argument is that you are under the impression that this game is incapable of receiving a bad score. I was informing you that someone seriously gave Killzone 2 a 7.

How did you infer that from what I said?

I discussed Jeronimo's comparison of KZ2 (an unreleased game) with COD6 (a game that hasn't been shown yet).

Then I also mentioned that his 7.6 review was actually a fake (and as you can see in another thread, the author now switched it to a rather high score, although it was obvious all in good fun and meant as a jab).

I never said or inferred that this game is incapable of receiving low scores.  However, this game (or any other) doesn't deserve to be bashed by people who haven't played it or who judge it based on a picture or console-hatred or whatever.

And when you pulled out the 7/10, I merely replied that cherrypicking a review won't help your cause in any way.

Therefore I stick with "wait for more reviews".

I was in no way cherrypicking. It's obvious that this game will get an avalanche of great reviews. If I read you wrong, than I apologize but your "rant" comment was extremely deceptive. Don't worry, I'll make sure never to bring up that 7 ever again...

@ chasmatic: Even if someone brings up a valid point about a review, anti-PS3 people will always point towards the "we can't say anything negative"-point, whether it is invalid or not.

This time around, a fake review was quoted, and when it was challenged, he immediately went for that "we can't say anything negative" again. So I consider it a typical rant yeah. Perhaps should've made myself more clear about it being repetitive and annoying.

besides, the same site changed it to 9.7 now

but it's still a crappy fake review.


The problem with the 2 bad reviews of KZ2 so far is not that they dare to say bad things about the game, it's that one is an obvious fake and the other one comes from a sex magazine which gave Haze a 4/5 when the game was released. If there is a real proble with the game, I'd be glad to read that in a serious review

Versus XIII. but then again... thats a PS3 game so...

 

I'd say alan wake has a chance to be on the same par but we'll have to wait and see...Oh... and Uncharted is already better looking graphicly but thats PS3 exclusive to...so..

Killzone 2 wont get low review scores, where have you been hiding the past few days. Killzone 2 has already got a few reviews, most giving it 100%. Go check out the Official Killzone 2 thread, it is said to make Gears 2 look like a high school effort at making a game, and we all know how good Gears is.

And if someone wants to play KZ2 on 360.......they cant. KZ2 is quite different from COD, and in many many ways is far better. Obviously Modern Warfare 2 is gona be fantastic, but im sure it wont even be as good as KZ2.

Time to get centered again, and have some sane balance here.  

1. The "Gears to looks like a high school effort" comes from people commenting on ONE review, and isn't reflective of the norm.  It reaks of fanboyism to the worst degree, and is set up out of hopes that Killzone 2 can trump Gears 2 in sales and attention.  It is a pathetic attempt to elevate by bashing a competing console exclusive.

2. We don't know what will be beyond KZ2.  People got to stop hyping things up and let the game speak for itself.

 

And to give an inane answer.  If I play Pixar's Cars DVD on my 360, it looks better than KZ2.  Sorry, that is true.

Does it matter? Gameplay is infinitely more important. And I'm certain plenty of games on every console will beat Killzone 2.
