Forums - Gaming - WHAT WAS BETTER N64 OR GENESIS

^Resident Evil 2

But it came in late, had horrible compressied video and sound.

Around the Network

Genesis..

although N64 was pretty cool too

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

owner of : atari 2600, commodore 64, NES,gameboy,atari lynx, genesis, saturn,neogeo,DC,PS2,GC,X360, Wii

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

I'm a sega fanboy so you can guess what my choice is >_>

Former something....

I'd have to say the Sega Genesis, a lot of good times. But the N64 was good too, obviously. I just had way more fun with the Genesis....

They still exist o.o

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

for me i would choose n64, but i actually probably liked the saturn and dreamcast more than the genesis. The genesis had more of a western feel while the saturn had tons of good japanese games, the dreamcast was more well rounded.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Loz:OoT, Mario 64, Starfox, Smash bros, Goldeneye, Donkey Kong Country, and Diddy Kong racing

vs.

Streets of Rage, Golden Ax, Shining Force, Sonic, phantasy star, Punisher, Double Dragon, and Contra hard Corps.

It is so hard to choose between the two. I really enjoyed both systems. I am going to say N64 but just by a little bit.

The ONLY game that would make me say N64 is Smashbrothers and the Legend of Zelda games. Otherwise its Genesis all day long.
