I was thinking of getting one this year, or a Samsung.

They are same TVs...Bravia will be more expensive tho but both have screens that are made by Samsung.

Not really. Samsung DNIe is better in my opinion.

They are quite similar actually but usually you get higher contrast ratio for less $$ on samsung TVs. Compare the same models side by side...

Also its a toss up which 120 hz stabilizing technology you like more. I preffer the Samsung one by a mile...but some say that it makes movies look like home made videos and they preffer the Sony (or Sharp).

Well I am very happy with my Bravia. It is a W4500 (UK model) so it may be a different model elsewhere. Anyway, I think it looks fantastic and it has an XMB! It also has Bravia sync and DLNA, but I have not worked out how to use these yet
