Forums - Nintendo - RTS game with Miis as controllable units-Good idea?

I posted this idea on the thread "Game you'd buy in a heartbeat if they existed.", but I wanted to get more responses to this idea, especially from you Nintendo Wii fans out there.

What's your opinion towards a RTS game with Miis as controllable units? Meaning you could use your Miis as soldiers to...

- Build buildings

- Attack other creatures or other Miis

- Your Miis dying as they get killed (funny idea, but a cool thing to see, still)

- Attack other opponent Miis and have so many Miis in one spot killing each other that the spot is literally filled with Miis fighting and killing each other or the old....

- Invading your oppponent's bases with your Miis!

Of course there wouldn't be blood since Mii's are cartoon characters so the equilavent of Miis bleeding would be like Goomba's head exploding with blood from Mario's jumps. (Or maybe some of you find that idea fascinating so there would be a blood options available especially for you folks.... >_>) And of course this means you can use Miis that you've created.... (Jesus fighitng in a war!)

So what's your opinion about this game? Would it be a good idea?

Edit: Oh and sorry if this topic has been already been created.

I think Pikmin online with bases and your Mii as a squad commander with special abilties would be better in almost every way :P

But yes your idea would be fun

Oh yeah, Pikmin 3 will most likely have online.... For some reason, I have never thought about that game having online ever since I heard it announced......

But yeah, Pikmin with your Mii as a squad commander would be cool, too.

That's a neat idea. But I wouldn't want killing, though.

A Lego Star Wars type of game will be good for Miis, too.

Proud member of the Sonic Support Squad.

Be better if you could define which Mii's are what level of support. Or as suggested, your Mii is squad command for online.

Personally I think it would work better for a game like Fire Emblem where you already grow an attachment to your characters and hate to see them die - permanently. That'd be even more poignant if it was one of your Miis. "Noooo!!! They killed Kenny! You Bastards!!" Of course if your own Mii dies it's game over.

I was thinking of a game similar to Starcraft and where all the units would either build things, kill things, transport things, or does some special effect and you can assign one Mii to represent those jobs so the rest of the Miis in that job will look like that Mii.

For example, you make your identical Mii an ground attacker to represent that job, so any additional Miis you create in that job will be your identical Mii.

If you assign your dad's Mii as a builder to represent that job, and additional Miis you create in that job will be your dad's Mii.

Or you can make it so you choose a specific Mii for each jobs and additional Miis for those jobs will be randomly put into those jobs once you make more of them.

I hope that made sense, cause I'm not going to be online for quite some time after this post. (Studying calls)

The Miis are totaly strangers in a big chunk of Nintendo Land, Nintendo could use them in a few games in a similar way to MK:Wii, but I don´t know why they don´t give them more use...

I like your idea of using miis in an rts, but giving them specific jobs is not the answer imo. What i think is the miis should be the general worker units (ie the scv) and it randomly picks which ones to use like they do in the mario kart courses. I don't think the miis are really there for killing (thougfh they should fight back if attacked). Thats my 2 cents.
