Well, Sony had a contract with S-E for FFXIII as well, and look what happened.

If Microsoft doesn't pay big $ to keep Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2 timed exclusives
then all that remains (as far as big exclusives are concerned) is Gears.

but i am probably oversimplifying here. MS has some 2nd party studios which will hold up the exclusive lineup.

   MS funded BIOWARE and thus if Bioware was a solo company there might be issues.  However bioware is now part of EA.  EA has no such agreement or history with MS and is thus free to do whatever it wants.

 

 

Unless Bioware had an agreement with MS that was unfulfilled as of their acquisition by EA.  I don't know if that's the case or not, but if it is then EA are legally bound to uphold it.

@CGI if ME3 would be PS3 lead developed wouldn't that put Bioware out of Mass Effect developing? I don't recall them having a PS3 team, and would rather not have a different team work on Mass Effect sequels.

I agree, EA needs the cash and a PS3 port = Free $ for EA. Im pretty sure it will either be timed exclusive for the 360 with additional DLC or both though

I so hope this is true...I won't need to get a xbox 360 then :P

it will be awesome, I'll get to play one of my favourite games (ME) on my favourite console (ps3).

Now we just have to wait till March to see if it turns out be true!
