This thread is reaching.  The news that a ME re-release is coming is fine, but then to say that ME2 will be exclusive because of a re-release is reaching.  I'm just calling it like I see it.

And I am not saying it WILL be exclusive, I said it MIGHT be. That is a difference. There is this little sign "?" in the title and a "But maybe I am wrong... then it is just a great deal." at the end. So I tried to discuss something, because that is what a forum is about. You have nothing to say, thats fine so please don't post here.

I can't remember MS re-release a game before. Of course there were hundreds of limited / collectors / classic edition etc, but not a special edition after the game is out for 15 months.

Either way, you haven't been here long enough to form an opinon about me, Regular.

Anyhoo, so a re-release of a game means an exclusive sequel may come?  Okay then....  >_>

Figures this would happen since I just bought  this.    Its an awesome game and I'm enjoying it. 

With regards to the trilogy being an 360/PC exclusive, MS did announce back in E3 2006 that it would be an exclusive.   We don't know if this exclusive deal gets thrown out the window now that EA bought out Bioware or if they will honor it much like Sega still released Sonic Chronicles after Bioware sold.

2. No not necessarily, but it could be a hint, beacause it is a first for Microsoft. Give me a better reason to sell a special edition at this time for 20 bucks?

I would imagine that the game will stay Exclusive to the 360 but who knows these days. You only pretty much know for sure when the actual dev's come out and state it... There is a chance of it being on the PS3 also, much like saints row 2 but who knows!

He may be breaching unintentionally, but why do you care so much if you have both the 360 and the PS3?

Everyone's jumping up in the club because DMJ gave an injection of reality.

You could just as easily spin it as pointing towards ME2 being multiplat by suggesting that this shows Microsoft trying to establish it as a 360-connotated franchise to keep 360 version sales of the sequel the primary breadwinner.

Tbh, let's just not read anything into it.

i think mass effect 2 will be exclusive and so will the series stay on 360. i almost 100% positived that m$ made a deal with ea, that if they allow ea to release mass effect on the pc . that they will keep the series on 360 1st then release a pc port like 6 months later, and this agreement states no ps3 versions ever.

It's the same deal they did with Gears 1. They released a version with the DLC because the sequel was coming later in the year. MS still have their influence in the franchise and these things don't go ahead without their say-som

Direct words from Bioware.

"I believe we'll be Xbox 360 exclusive for at least a short period of time," BioWare senior manager Matt Atwood revealed to CVG on the subject of the sequel's release plans.

That pretty much confirms Mass Effect 2 to be a timed exclusive. Eventrually Mass Effect is going to cross over. It's a shame MS didn't buy Bioware. But atleast we know Bioware still has lots of love for the Xbox platform.

I really hope ME2 releases this year. It would be awesome to have a new Halo, Bioshock and Mass Effect in 2009. It's like 2007 all over again.
