I notice a few of the biggest Sony fans who have told us for at least 2 years KillZone 2 WILL BE the biggest PS3 game ever have avoided this thread. Wonder why that is?
Personally i think a lot of KZ2 success will depend on real reviews when they come out. Right now a lot of people have seen the footage of the game and like me are pumped for it. But we all know the score, years of great previews and a lot of hype don't always turn out the way you expect. Sometimes a good game can go on to sell not so much while a pretty crap game can sell loads. It really is the luck of the draw. It could go either way. I think it also depends a lot on how Street Fighter 4 does. Everyone loves Street Fighter and if the console version gets received well it could harm KZ2 sales as not everyone will be able to get both straight away.
So i'm going to go for a 1st week 600k sales worldwide. Everyone loves shooting games and this looks a really good one.
400 k for NPD US month of February (about 1 week sales) + #1 on individual Gfk charts in the UK in its first week.
Currently playing on PS3: God of War III
Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII
Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger
450k first week (if that), 1.1 million first month, 4+ million lifetime (probably higher than Call of Duty 4 - Killzone's quality will be shown through it's legs).
All you guys guessing close to a million first week are insane. Even World at War couldn't pull that off in the middle of November.
