Forums - Sales Discussion - Let's predict Killzone 2 (first week) sales here

Perhaps around 300-400k after a full week (since Feburary 27th is a Friday).

Maybe more if Sony really gets on the marketing and gets people pumped for it. You know, get the non-internet community talking about it.

I believe this game will be a bigger hit than it's getting credit for.

You'll buy it... hell I'll pick it up when I can finally buy a PS3 (btw I accept donations for a PS3 just paypal my email   ) but most people will not even know about this game... this isn't a franchise with a big name and Sony should have been marketing this thing to hell for months now.

575k first week, 3.3 mil lifetime (it might have very good legs depending on overall reviews after launch week, it is a title that many are hesitant to jump on board for asap)

First Week: 657,471

Lifetime: 3.75m

I comnpletely forgot this game was hitting on a Friday.

I may need to change my week 1 numbers.

I'll be conservative and say 600K first week and 3 million LTD.

Posts like these absolutely confuzzle me.  The only games that sell 40+% of their lifetime sales the first week are hardcore titles in Japan. Franchises like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest (which actually sell over 50% of their lifetime sales the first week).

Western titles never follow trends even remotely similar to this.
