"Earlier this weekend we found a Killzone 2 press kit had hit eBay.  The auction for the kit was going over £250, or about $400.  After it gained our attention, the auction was quickly shut down.  It is against's eBay's Terms of Service to sell beta or preview software, and either the eBay stepped in or the seller stopped the auction himself.

However, the press kit appeared again a few short hours later, this time under a different seller name.  The seller this time went for the Buy It Now option and was able to unload the press kit before we could report it.  The press kit was sold for an outrageous £400, which is $589.

Upon closer inspection, we noticed the same seller also sold the Resistance 2 press kits.  Looks like Sony has a leak to plug!

Killzone 2 is a first person shooter developed by Guerilla Games.  The highly anticipated title is due out February 27, exclusively for the PS3."

You can buy a PS3 for that price! Paying for a review build copy because you cant wait about a month. Hype for this game is INSANE!

Insane. I would never pay that much. But the game is really being hyped up. I haven't seen a game get this much hype in a while.

I wouldn't do that.....to pay more than more than how much the ps3 cost just to get a game that is releasing in a month??? DEYM!!!!!

And then, he gave the game a review score of 7.6!

thats just ridiculous. ps3 is too expensive for the masses yet some are willing to pay $549 for the preview copy of a game. Wow, just wow!!!

lol I wouldn't even pay half that much for a full Rock Band set.

I'm guessing it's probably a very wealthy gamer, so wealthy that he/she probably has no financial worries whatsoever. A celebrity wouldn't even be out of the question.

That, or some regular joe is completely nuts.

The guy who bought it is just crazy. he cant even play multiplayer properly! Wonder whether the review build has trophies?
