Wow. GameRadar are just out to get the game, lol. They still gave it a 9, probably just so that when the haters come, they can go "But...we gave it a 9! You have no right to complain that our review is full of crap!"

Oh god, the last page of the review compares it with other games. . .

Anyway, this is a better summary of their thoughts for those that would rather not read their review.

"So there you go. Although it’s not everything we’d hoped for, Killzone 2 does live up to most of its hype, and it’s unquestionably the most important PS3 game of early 2009. Throw in some obligatory collectibles (intel briefcases and breakable Helghast symbols), a wealth of Trophies and a couple of ridiculously difficult boss fights, and Killzone 2’s compelling story and tightly paced action (maybe a little too tightly paced) make it a game that no PS3-owning shooter fan should be without.

You'll love

  • Beautiful (if bleak) visuals
  • Amazingly chaotic battles
  • Two words: lightning gun
You'll hate
  • Being limited to one rifle
  • Action's a little too predictable
  • Multiplayer matches can drag"

I've never played killzone...lol I heard it was awesome

Leap that wall if you're so great!!

So I'm reading the CVG review now, and it has some lol moments.

Some nice quotes:

The sheer OMG!-ness of the experience makes Killzone 2 worth buying a PS3 for. And, given how much they cost, that's one hell of a compliment.

So, an 8.7 game is worth buying a ps3 for?

There are a couple of boss fights to break things up, too. We won't spoil those for you, but we will say that none of them, not even the final boss, will truly blow you away. There isn't really any standout 'OMG' moment like taking out a Scarab in Halo 3, or launching mortars at a Brumak in Gears 2.

[...]

Games like Gears and Halo or even the age-old Quake III Arena force you to choose different weapons for different situations and strategies.

Yeah, you're not biased towards a certain other console.

It feels like they made mountains out of molehills to lower the game's score, but ultimately couldn't deny the awesomeness of the game, dubbing it worthy of buying a ps3 for.

It's a rather well written review overall, despite the questionable final mark.  Like it matters that much.  I've already won my bet, lol.

Here's a response for that Heavily Sword action figure line from Xplay, though I suppose it could work for lines in the CVG and Gamesradar reviews.

Xplay also gave it 5/5

GameSpot posted an impressions video, in which they stated they weren't going to review the game until close rot release, so that they can have more time with the multiplayer.

I guess they're taking the Kotaku route. We'll see what happens I guess.

I'd say that a majority of the reviews being in the low to mid 90's is solid enough and the craziness of the past week has settled down (for me at least). Time to focus on playing the game and sales.

Hey so how's that bet between makingmusic and starcraft going? What are the terms again?

EDIT: Nevermind I just see it on his signature up there lol I wonder who's gonna win, the plot thickens

Why no cover in multiplayer? I'm disappointed now :(

It wouldn't work, if you were in the beta you would understand why.
