REPREHENSIBLE!!! Alas, if only they could be more like the morally upstanding Microsoft.

I disagree with you Squilliam about if the PS2 had gone head to head with the Wii, the PS2 would've been crushed, I doubt that. Crazy thing tho, we'll never know. OT: As a PS3 owner, no I don't feel like a loser. The Playstation, itself, will lose this gen, but you never know what might happen, remember: N64 = loss/but profit. Gamecube = loss/but profit. Wii = holy shit a BIG WINNER!!! If PS3 turns profit in 09, which it should, Sony could be poised to return next gen with a winning: Sony Playstation 4. But that remains to be seen. |
Agreed :)
It would be about losing exclusives and 3rd party support. Do you think Gamecube owners gave a shit about getting pwned by PS2?
I would consider it a loss if SCEWWS had to cut back on the amount or quality of games that are being released.
A win is if PS3 continues to get every awsome franchise of yesteryear while continuing to gain new exiting IP's.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

There are no losers this generation of hardware. What's happening is that the game culture is so big, no one company can monopolize it anymore.
This is good for gamers, good for studios, and good for consumers.
Nintendo and Sony have done the right thing by staying focused, not trash-talking their competitors, and investing heavily in media and studios. I wish Microsoft would do the same (they're getting better, but they still have some growing up to do.)
