Bad news for KILLZONE 2 fans, Mathijs de Jonge in a interview just confirmed that co-op isn't going to be a reallity:

MdJ : Currently there are no plans for co-op in Killzone 2, technically it would be quite difficult to implement it for the story mode as for example the mission sections are loaded in seamlessly – no loading screens , and that would cause issues with teleporting players. Even without co-op it’s still a big game and gamers will have plenty to sink their teeth into.

Too bad, but the online multiplayer is where it's at anyway. This reminds me of Mario Kart Wii...no co-op grand prix in exchange for online play. *sigh*

We all do, Killzone 2 will be excellent regardless. COD4 was awesome but lacked Co op. In fact i only use CODwaw Co op for Zombie mode. Co op would be like Sprinkles on a cake. (It isn't necessary, but still nice)

How did you turn "currently there are no plans" into "no co-op EVER"?

It's a shame. Left 4 Dead shipped without a single player campaign, and Bioshock has no mulitplayer but both ended up being great games. I think we will be able to survive.

doesnt bother me. im buying this game for ME. lol all i need is solo single player and that badass multiplayer baby
