Well, the another other (obvious) point is that Sony reducing the price of the PS3 would result in Microsoft and Nintendo adjusting their market strategy in response ... While a $300 PS3 might sell better than a $200/$300 XBox 360, how would it compare to a $179/$250 or a $150/$200 XBox 360?

If Sony put in Backward Compatabilty for PS2, put all the card readers back in, HDMI cable, a 1 terrabite hard-drive, MGS4, GTAIV, Uncharted, LBP + 5 Blu-ray movies and $50 of free PSN downloads and an extra controller. and cut the price to $100.... the PS3 might outsell the Wii for a few weeks.

A PS3 that is finally priced the same as the standard 360 would absolutely destroy the 360. The $400 PS3 vs. the $350 360 attests to that. Have them at the same price? It's a done deal

You know what's funny? I still think the Wii might outsell it.
