Forums - Gaming - mistery solved wich console is more powerfull? the 360 or the ps3.????

i think that the reason the ps3 have all this graphicall powerhouses like killzone 2, uncharted 1&2, heavy rain, god of war, gran turismo 5, ratchet and clank, is because of what he said the ps3 architecture is like something complex and new so you get more experience since you have to work harder and get better games.

Coincidently all the games you mentioned are first party and Sony has done a good job in getting those studios to share their expertise and work together to get the maximum out of the hardware.

In a way the situation is similar to that of the PS2 in that at the beginning it was difficult to program for. But after a couple of years developers got their heads around it and started getting the most out of it.

Hopefully games like KZ2 and Uncharted will force other developers to work harder and achieve better results.

Which is more powerful?

THE WII!!! AND YOU BETTER NOT F***ING FORGET IT!

Just like a Smith and Wessen beats 4 aces, a system that prints money beats one with better graphics that doesn't.

This is the "Gold Rule": He who has the gold makes the rules.  Different from the Golden rule, which general gets ignored by fanboys, who tend to believe in doing unto others before others do unto them.

Though the PS2 was the most popular system, which is why developers spent more time to improve on their games for the system over the years (to maximize sales for their games). The PS3 on the other hand is in 3rd place out of the current gen. consoles, so developers might not necessarily see the need to spend as much time working to improve their PS3 games as there is not as much incentive since the install base is smaller compared to the other systems.

Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

I came into this thread expecting an answer.

This thread makes me angry

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

Hmmm

I think the PS3 is more powerful but once you factor in the graphical chipset the PS3 loses a lot of ground.

Still probably the PS3 but only by about 5-10 percent. So little, in essence its pretty hard to tell.

I'm happy with my 360 and the games the developers are able to churn out.

I've yet to see any HD game that is a huge leap above anything offered on the others platform.

branko2166: lets hope so.

smbu2000: thats the problem since the ps3 is not being as succesfull as the other consoles developers are not going to take the time on working hard with the ps3 lets hope that not happen.

Where is MikeB??

One only need to look at the games on both platforms to see they're essentially the same.

It's shocking how propaganda can shape your perceptions. I imagine most people believe the PS3 is much more graphically capable than the 360, and it very well might be. However, that opinion is based mostly off of Sony's PR and word of mouth via Sony faithful, than actual comparison.

Ironically, the most graphically capable game out so far this gen on a console has been Gears of War 2, an Xbox 360 exclusive. Of course that will all change with Killzone 2, but again, most people believe that the PS3 is the massively powerful graphics machine simply because Sony says so, and they validate that acceptance by pointing to the price. Why is it so expensive if it doesn't blow the competition out of the water graphically?

How ignorant we all are.

Crysis*

also ps3 can run gears 2. its made of unreal 3 .

UT 3 runs great on the ps3 and that isn't even pushing hardware much.
