is anyone else shocked about Mario kart DS being in the top 10 for the month of december 

and in the top ten for best sold games of 2008 even though it came out like 3 years ago??

No surprise here. The game doesn't age at all and is always fun. It's the game that made me buy the DS three years ago. I'm still using the old phat DS and loving it. Go, Mario Kart, Go.

It is a sign of things to come for Mario Kart Wii.

3 years from now we will be marveling at how Mario Kart is about to pass Wii Sports as the best selling game of all time.

Well, there are 750 million DS's floating around the world, so it makes sense

It's a easy pick up and play game. I thought the *NEW* Super Mario Brothers game would be the best selling title, but I guess thats not the case. and no Pokemons?

I'm not too surprised.

In the top 15, we'll surely see both

Nintendogs 176 weeks old (12 more than MKDS)

NSMB (138 weeks old (26 less than MKDS)

And in the top 20

Brain Training (142 weeks old).

All of those games are also in the top 20 for the year in both Others and Americas (MKDS being the only one in Japan).

I'm not surprised with all of the DS's being sold. Mario Kart games are a whole different beast this gen.

MK Wii gave it a boost.

Look at the top 20 best selling games (including multiplats).

There are 5 DS titles that are over 2 years old in the top 20.

When people buy a DS, MK is one of the first games they get. No surprise here.
