What about Wii Play (wiimote) and Wii Fit (balance board)? They sold alot.
And besides the games are being made for it regardless.

I'm sorry but I for one think Motion + is going to further provide potential for all sorts of games to benefit from. As mentioned Star Wars is a huge franchise that will receive a HUGE injection into its stale franchises due to M+. This is something the Euphoria engine could not generate. Also Tiger Woods 10 has potential to really hit the mainstream as 09 is the best golf game ever to date. Zelda is another game that ppl are just waiting to see if/how M+ will be implemented by Nintendo. Another game I think could benefit from M+..Madden. That series is beyond stale, I like the call your shots option and that will be expanded upon, but M+ has the potential to really change the game further than what the Wii-mote did originally. The key word is Potential. I think that's where the hype comes from, its potential is extremely exciting.
Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:
If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.
If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.
motion + I feel has more attractiveness to teh hardcorez, because better accuracy is only something we pay for.

N64 rumble pack ... An inexpensive device which can be attached to a standard controller ended up having optional support in most games released for the N64.
I could be wrong but I expect something very similar from Wii MotionPlus ... Certainly, most games will never require it but it should see a high level of support with some developers even (potentially) providing additional controlls to take advantage of it.

I base this on watching this industry for a number of years and in that time I have seen several Nintendo projects that were supposed to be their next big thing come and go. These have included items like the Game Boy Player and the E-card reader, Rob the Robot, the gun controller never living up to its full potential except in Duck Hunt, the Power Glove and the mat that you used in certain NES games (I forget whta it was called), so unless Wii Sports Resort and Motion Plus become bundled with the Wii at some point I just don't see it having much of an effect on Wii games. It just slightly improves what you can already do on the Wii in my opinion, and I don't think that is a strong selling point. What do you think?

Don't think it needs to be bundled to Wii to make an impact. Wii Play is selling pretty good... and Wii Sports is still selling in Japan.
Also, it doesn't have to be a strong selling point. Nintendo doesn't really need an additional strong selling point to sell Wii.
MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
