As far as first-person shooters go, Killzone 2 is great — some might even go so far as to say it’s fantastic. What Killzone 2 isn’t, however, is a ‘killer app’.
Killzone 2 is not going to move systems. Killzone 2 is not going to convert Xbox owners. Killzone 2 is not going to cure cancer or resurrect the dead. Killzone 2 is simply a great shooter, and that’s it.

Is that what you wish or just what you saw on your crystal ball ?
How do you know it won't move systems? Who are you to say KZ2 is not a "Killer App" or, to call it something else a "must-have game"? Great shooters are many, mister. Farcry 2 is one, Resistance 2, Left 4 Dead...etc, some of these "great" ones even made it to GOTY nominees lists. There have been many overhyped games that sold LOTS in the past, yeah GTA4 is one, and Assassin's Creed also comes to my mind which also sold like crazy on pure hype I'd dare say.
I think I will end this thread right now, and I will end YOU with it with this question: Why do you question Killzone 2 greatness and then relate it to SALES of the game and its capacity to "move systems" ?
So, are you implying here if the game doesn't "move systems" or sales skyrocket as if Sony will be giving away PS3s for free, that makes the game "not that great" ? I take it you are tired of the hype going on the last weeks, and I also take it you won't be buying the game. You probably made your mind about not buying Killzone 2 long ago when you also made your mind about the game being "just great" and "not moving systems".
Whatever spike you see on PS3 sales during March you can bet Killzone 2 had its share on that. Even when Resident Evil 5 debuts middle of March, and other nice games appear on the shelves, you can count PS3 hardware sales to Killzone 2. Of course it won't be doing it by itself, but it will definitely be a huge part of it, just like many people still decide to buy a X360 'cause it also has Resident Evil 5 but also they get Gears 2 or Left 4 Dead, whatever flips their world. If you see the ever expensive PS3 hanging in there the upcoming months, battling neck to neck in US soil with the favourite 360 you can be sure as death Killzone 2 had a lot to do with it.
