I havent played the original one because i only just started playing FPS games. I was wondering if there is a story line i wouldnt understand if i just playe dkillzone 2 without playing number 1.

Just watch all the cut scenes on You tube for the story :P I have KZ and was almost finished, but some one saved over my mission *Easy to do* so I cbf playing again :P I watched the scenes and it was a an ok story.

YES, don't play the first one or else you will be disappointed in Killzone

Don't play the first one, it is extremely mediocre at best.

don't worry.. the story isn't that important in the first one.. it's a lot of.. go there kill people. What you need to know is basically the intro. Helghast invades the good guys to retaliate for whatever (seems they were driven away or something, then settled and mutated. All from the kz1 intro) and you drive them back.

Go to Killzone.com and they have a full storyline for before and after the first game.

It's not too detailed but you understand the reasons for what happens in KZ2

Just watch all the cutscenes on youtube.

It'll save you time and money.
