Forums - Sony - Is Sony promoting Uncharted 2 more than Killzone 2?

Every Killzone trailer yet released wouldn't be appropriate for a public place like Home.

I'm sure once they create a proper commercial for the game, a similar trailer will show up in Home.

I think Killzone 2 has more exposure in general just because of its name. I dont think they need as much advertising for it to sell well unlike Uncharted which needs everything it can get. If you promote Uncharted 2...then it creates interest in the first one which increases the base for #2 to succeed as well.

Does anyone think Uncharted: Drake's Fortune can break 1.5 units by #2's release?

Uncharted is on the verge of breaking 2.5 million units.  0_o

You ever wonder why the movie theaters will show trailers of upcoming movies that won't come out for up to a year later and then you don't actually see that same commercial on tv until about a week before launch?

yeah..

Predictions.

1. Wii will never reach 50% market share.

2. Kz2 will sell 1.3 first week 3.5 LT.
Sales predictions for 09.

Wii - 69 - 72
PS3 - 32 - 34
X360 - 39 - 41

Perhaps things will get heavy early feb

All i know is that Sony should pump the hell out of advertising for Killzone 2 because this was THE game that all those Xbox fanboys laughed back in 2005 claiming that the first trailer on E3 was just a movie and not ingame. Sony proved them wrong big time.

What part of Killzone 2, in game, is this:

That is the 2005 E3 trailer.  Again, what part of the game, in game is that?  Now, if you said that Xbox fanboys said that there is no way the PS3 could get close to that, you may have a case, but I am not sure your argument about the E3 2005 trailer is a good one to go with.

edit2: the beginning of the vid looks to use parts of the famous e32005 trailer, and the new one is all in game. looks pretty darn close to me.

I think they are promoting Uncharted 2 due to the Uncharted 160gig bundle. Think about it the sequel will sell the most to people who already played the first game. and people wo just bought the bundle might not know there is aready a sequel under way.

Thing is that it is NOT in game, and the current one approximates it, but isn't that close.  And it is this type of over the top hyping that does the Playstation 3 a HUGE disservice.  This talk, and Killzone 2 looks better than Crysis, will sell nearly a million copies in a week, and other over the top talk that only sets up for disappointment.

richard you should stop generalizing. its rather tiredsome an stupid.
