This is my only gripe with it coming to the 360...the fact that its delaying the product as a whole. It makes no sense from a business aspect unless MS (or someone..) paid them quite a bit of money....

It does make sense to release it on 360 in western markets, it more than doubles the install base they are making the game for

I in no way said I didn't think they shouldn't release it on the 360.  But they shouldn't delay releasing a finished product to create a port to another system.  It makes no sense from a business perspective.  At best, you're just costing yourself the interest you'd make on the money earned.

Okay, well that is because M$ paid them. Apparantly they had a contract with Sony, and then M$ gave them a ton of cash and they ripped up the contract, but I think Sony negotiated to keep exclusivity in Japan. Nobody (apart from Wada) really knows what happened, but it is almost certain that M$ paid SE for it to come to Xbox

I agree that something like this probably happened, and that's what angers me.  I don't care if MS throws money around to buy exclusives (I have both consoles, and I actually perfer exclusives), but they anger me when they're keeping me from playing a game I want to play!

They still have to localise it in English after the Japanese version is finished. It makes sense to release it simultaneously in the west, late ports don't sell as well as simultaneous releases.

What about the constantly forgotten area of the world, the EU...

I mean the US is not the only place in the world, damn you SE!!

Since we are on Sony forum we can safely say - who cares :) In worst case we will import it.

Eh, I doubt it... Also, "both sides of the Pacific" doesn't mean worldwide, more like NA+Japan. Geography FTW!

By the way, isn't it time that gaming journalists outsource their Japanese translation to some proper translators?

I'm pretty sure that some gamers could do it in the cheap or even for free. Also I'm not talking about full translations of big articles, just to get the gist of it in order not to start rumors based on google translate.
