Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Wii Sounds for monitor!!!

Hello Everyone.

I just bought a new monitor(HP W1907) and it has integrated speakers.

I bought a Component to Vga Cable with will work fine for my monitor, but will my monitor be able to use its integrated speaker so i can hear the gameplay from my wii and i dont need an external sound syste. How can this be configured?

My computer has VGA and DVI Port.

Im just worried about the audio.

Something like this. I assume it has a 3.5mm plug (headphone size.)

yes it does have that slot(3.55mm on the computer)but thats rca and im gonna be using component cables(red, green and blue).

Im using a female to female component adapter, male component cable with vga on the other side and the nintendo wii component cable that goes into the console.

It should look like this

Nintendo Wii Component to Female Adapter----------->>ADAPTER<<---------------here goes the Component Male to Vga Cable on the other side of the adapter.

I havent bought a 5 way component cable, which includes component and rca all together in one cable. Can i use this cable so i can connect the component to the adapter and the other cables that are included in the component to the adapter which goes to the 3.55mm adapter?

I hope this doesnt sound complicated and the issue clears out.  Sry i didnt added at first my monitor had the 3.55mm slot on the computer.

Im a bit lost here!!!

The linked audio adapter should work for you. Whether the video is component or composite, the audio connectors are the same.
