There are humans in Ivalice, they are called "humes". Fran is from an all-female race of rabbit people called the Viera. She appears to be dark-skinned because she is a rabbit.

Rabbits are not black people. Case closed!

Viera have light-colored hair; Though their skin color varies from the light-skinned Veena and the dark-skinned Rava. In Final Fantasy XII, the Viera have silver hair. Though those who chose to live among Humes often color their hair in shades of brown or black.

 There! See, she 's a "Rava" skinned Viera! Does that help at all?

FF races r not direct correspondants of races in real life. but if 1 was going to b black it would b her, not reddas who doesnt have a strong enough pigment to fit the race. minus the bunny features Fran looks like what? Black/Middle Eastern . which fits the game with it hot desert look.

Seems this new character has a decently modelled nose and actually looks humanoid, versus those freaks with triangular jaws at the bottom of the scan.

Is this game coming out for PC? If so, I might pick it up.
