Yeah, halo 3 i think. GT5 will run it close, but thats it. Combined gta4 sales might nick it though

GTA5, especially if it's anything like San Andreas. As long as Rockstar goes back to it's roots then this game could be a contender.

I would give it to Halo 3.

When the last GT came out, there was not such strong competition like today - Forza 2 ( 3 maybe at the same time like GT5), RACE Pro. Correct me, if I'm wrong. Yes, also Halo 3 had some serious competitors like CoD MW but it stands ones ground- at least on a single platform. GT5 -That remains to be seen, but its possible.

Right now, Halo3 is at 9 million. With the release of ODST and a possible Halo3 + ODST bundle, sales will reach 11 million quite easily. ODST might move more Halo3 units.

The toughest competition will be GT5.  The best selling game of the series sold almost 15 million units. That is a lot. But the install base for the PS3 is much smaller than it was back in the days for the PS2.

Final Fantasy XIII will have great software sales, but because of the fact that the game will be on the Xbox360, the sales will split. Furhermore, the best selling FF game sold almost 10 million.

I can't think of another game to come close to 11 million. Is there a great franchise I don't remember right now?

WRONG: The Sims 2 has already sold like 15 millions, and Halo 3 will never reach that. Then there is Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, Call of Duty 4 PC,  The Sims 3, The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, SPORE, etc... Seriously, am I missing something? There's so many HD PC games that sold/will sell more than Halo 3 that it's not even funny.

I think that is very likely.

It should be at 11-12M.

GT5 is probably going to be at 7-9M, with 10M a roof.

So Halo 3 should take it with a decent amount.

 

About best selling multiplat title, it will either be GTA IV (or later version) or some Call of Duty.

New Halo mappack coming out with Halo Wars. The game is still officially 59.99 btw...for those saying that they are just throwing the game with every xbox.

I don't know if GT5 will have the same impact as halo. If it comes outthis holiday season maybe. But if it gets delayed again, there won't be enough time for it to get the sales it deserves.
