Something about this statment bothers me. A year ago the PS3 sucked harder than it does now.

I think it has more to do with the perceived game selection on the 360 than it does the PS3.

I knew it sucked at the time too, but I really thought they would eventually turn it around. Never happened though, with lots of multiplat titles.
I hoped they wouldn't turn it around, since I'm no fan of Sony, but I really thought they would.
Yeah, I finally have a sig.

I get what where your coming from halo should have looked better for a 360 title sadly bungie didnt use an xbox 360 engine the used halo 2s engine to make halo 3
Imagine if they would have used the unreal engine, anyway Im rambling
I myself like gears of war gameplay over halos as well
gears of war is the has the best shooter gameplay out there
and halo 3s hype stems from the first halo game
I dont know what happened to halo 2 and halo 3
but I am looking for halo odst to be amazing

Okay, Halo 3's engine had nothing to do with Halo 2. The reason that Halo 3 was so underwhelming (pardon the term) is that Bungie has a pretty small staff. They interlaced two different 640p engines (IIRC) to achieve the lighting, which was pretty spectacular at times. Halo 3 didn't look bad, it just didn't look amazing like so many opined on occasion after occasion on forums.
It's a good game that looks good. No, it's not "Gears of War" but, at the time, it surpassed Gears in multiplayer functionality and co-op campaigns. Now that Gears 2 is out, we get to look forward to ODST.
I doubt Bungie will disappoint. Contrary to popular belief on many forums, those guys have been making fucking brilliant games since the time many of you were born. This is their chance to expand the Halo universe a bit and get a fresh breath of creative air.
Breaking away from MS was the smartest thing Bungie ever did.

Yep, you're right, I've never really gotten into the series; just read synopsis.
Yeah, I finally have a sig.

That game isn't even rated on Metacritic, it got a 5 from IGN, why would you reccomend somebody that :S |
Skeeuk being skeeuk. He hasn't even played the game, check the gamertag on his sig.
extected reply: "I played it at a friend's but didn't like it enough to buy it because I'm buying superior ps3 games".
Anyways, as for the threads topic... MASS EFFECT! also, GEOMETRY WARS 2!
Good choice, 360 is cheaper (and if Wii is your primary console than thats important) and offers pretty much this same games, and has some quality exclusives especially if you're an RPG fan.
