Forums - Nintendo - Rumor: Friend Codes go bye, bye, for Major Games...

Monster Hunter.....only thing it could really be. It's almost like an MMO, just with lobbies and not open ended if that makes sense...

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

Around the Network

umm, you don't need FC if you don't use Nintendo's servers. EA has already done this with some of their online games.

I actually like FC, but I just wish they made it a tiny bit simpler. For example, I can use whatever name I want with FC since I have a unique ID anyways, but I can't with the PSN or Live. Also, if they only used 1 unique FC, instead of game specific FC, then it would be a lot better. Add in the ability to send invitations, and then add a parental control to be able to limit that feature and you are all set.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I think is The Conduit but only imagine a Pokemon MMO with it I can say goodbye to my life.

ha yea a full MMO pokemon game would be the game to end all games.

As it isn't The Conduit, I'd expect Monster Hunter, as that game really needs a powerful online community to thrive.

And it's not unheard of for games not to use Friend Codes--EA's games use EA Nation.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
