I switched out Tetris for Megaman 2 on a whim.  While I believe that hand-eye coordination is just as important in old NES games as it is in Bioshock, I don't see why the ability to memorize vast amounts of information is less of a skill than reaction time.

It did make your ironic statement after the vid just weirdly candid, though.

Yeah, maybe I should stick to paid journalists.  Not that this one isn't good, but it's funnier when it's a professional losing his cool.

Wow, people are still saying this. I think some people take gaming way too seriously, if you actually take a step back and think clearly, you will realise what you have written is totally illogical.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

i love the use of the term casual. apparently he thinks his 63 year old boss is a baby. and god forbid me being able to play games and not be a nerd. i mean i know loads of 18 year olds brought to gaming by wii i also love how he blames the wii for making prince of persia easier, its not even on the wii!?

Good thing I'm a casual gamer. I love the new Prince of Persia, it has the ultimate built in checkpoint system. It's perfect for someone like me. I don't have as much free time as when I was younger and in school. Having a 40-60hour work week, a girlfriend, and a lot of weekend events I'm required to attend have turned me into this. I envy a lot of you who are still in school and have more time/energy to play games.
Also luckily my gf likes watching me play PoP.
