@Zlejedi - Here's hoping too that Starcraft II will be released this year on par with Diablo 3. That would make me fall in love all over Blizzard again xDDD

I'm really hardcore. I've bought zero games on the first day after release. I don't think I've even bought any within the first week...

Let's see if anyone can beat me :D

Hah, same here. IT's hard to get worked up to HAVE to play a game and to find the time to get to the store right on release.

Hmn, I don't know if I got a SNES game on day one but I can remember that I bought Majora's Mask in the first week of its release date. You have to know it was very difficult to get video games on the very first day in my home town. They often got the games later or... well, they never ordered it. It was hard living in the countryside :).

Additionally: Wind Waker, Wario Land:Shake it, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Okami, Twilight Princess and Dance Dance RFevolution: Hottest Party :).

mario kart
super smash bros. brawl
pro evolution soccer 2008
medal of honor heroes 2
coming soon:
the conduit
zelda alttf
pro evolution soccer 2009

I pre-ordered LoZ:Windwaker, which was sent by Amazon 2 days after it's retail release date.

Yeah amazon suck for pre-orders, rather than mail in time for delivery on release, they mail the day of release.  Useless.

Suits me fine though... there is no need to have to have a game the minute it releases. The only advantage is that you can tell other people about it before they get it, except for story driven games other people generally won't want you to. There is also a disadvatage for online games in that usually the online servers can't handle the first day or so.

Well, the ones I can remember for Wii..

Twilight Princess
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Paper Mario
Mario Kart Wii
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
Wario Land: Shake it!
NHL 2K9
Dokapon Kingdom
Animal Crossing: City Folk
Guitar Hero: World Tour
Rock Band 2
Call of Duty: World at War
Wii Music
Shaun White Snowboarding: Roadtrip

Wow, more than I thought.

Wait, there is a dokapon for the Wii??? :| i never saw it here in portugal!!! it was one of my favourite games for the GBA :D

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GCN)

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

No More Heroes (it may have been the following day, or the first day available at retail)

DS Lite was a week after it came out I think.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

I have yet to see another game worthy of a first day purchase.
