The year is 2009.

The People's Republic of China unveils a massive video game study which proves without a doubt that playing games reduces one's productivity, wastes electricity, and increases the difficulty of dating.  Within days of showing these studies to the U.N., nearly every country in the world decides to take action.  Even socially liberal countries are moved to stop the video game menace on productivity, hoping it will cure the current economic strain.  The action they all agree to take is quick, decisive, and rather dumb,

You must choose your 5 (five) video games within 1 hour of reading this new law.  You will not be allowed to own any other games.

Their hope is that you'll quickly grow bored of these games and give them up for good, but can you choose carefully enough to game happily forever?

Other rules:

1) All multiplayer servers will stay active, even if publishers and game developers go out of business.  Public funding will be used to keep them alive.

2)  Playing more than your alloted 5 games is punishable by death, cameras will be placed in every gaming device to keep an eye on you, and I'll personally make sure you don't cheat you little bastard.

3)  It's your life so I can't choose for you, but I will probably criticize and laugh at your 5 games.

 

I'm sorry to inform you of this news, but I look forward to your 5 (five) choices.

 

1) World of Warcraft

3) Team Fortress 2

4) Starcraft

5) Mario Kart Wii

The trick is not to chose 5 games, but chose 5 engines, allowing for a variety of mods.

5. your mom... no seriously the 5th is difficult cause i gotta leave so many games out im trying to think of a genre i wouldnt want to leave out... might have to go with either fallout 3 or oblivion... ill take fallout 3

I say let them rott, sorry to all he chinesse on this site, but if it starts to affect legislation in the Americas or Europe, I know where I'm going already.

People aren't puppets and it's the government and that societies fault for making 2 billion of them in one country, it's amazing what nearly 2 millenia of training can convince people of thinking... that communism puts the word communism to shame, the purpose behind it is society controling society through government not govenrment controling society through government.

Scientifically the results were very strong. Scientists all over the world are agreeing with the results, and the United States among other countries is limiting you to 5 games. Still a democracy.. but only 5 games.
