Notice how a regular argument for Sony is 'just wait for so and so game, then you'll see' Where as Microsoft and Nintendo want you to be excited about the games of today. This has crippled the Sony base as their always waiting for the 'real PS3 games to come out'

You apparently do not like games and rather enjoy sticking your fingers in your ears while screaming. The rest of the world has moved on from 2007. The PS3 has more than enough to let everyone enjoy the console.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

:( lol...where's the love for CGI

No but seriously though, that's great to know, but also not suprising. The PS3 is a monster machine, and GG, has the best looking console game on their hands with this one. Great read as usual from you darth!

don't worry CGI. There will be plenty of CGI in Tekken and Final fantasy XD

anyhow @ ot. I already assumed this and i was right.. hehehehe

Some of them might be VIDEOS, recorded in real time.

Videos = prerendered, regarldess of how one spins it or what assets they might or might not be using when they are rendering it, not to mention you can have like, a million of them running at perfect framerate even if they'd run at a frame per hour in realtime. And really, there's no such thing as a "video recorded in realtime" unless we are talking about recording/filming on a tape with a camcorder.

I really hope they are not prerendered like in Uncharted or most of the Gears 2 cutscenes though, but true realtime (on the fly rendered polygonal demos) like in MGS4 (except Volta and GW scene) or DMC4.

you never heard of fraps or camtasia studios ? I don't doubt it wasn't recorded like that but with it being recorded running in real time it means that it's not prerendered the same way as it would be directly from max. This isn't the same. :\

Agree with this guy.

There's so much more cgi can still do better then in-game engines, it's nice that graphics are so good that they can be a poor man's substitute, but I'd still like to see cgi cutscenes.
