One thing that popped into my mind in the OP, how does the score matter in how the review should be written? Shouldn't the review be written the same way, whether the score is 5, 7 or 9?

All reviews should be detailed, all scores should be justified, my point with the 9 is that it's harder to justify a 9 than people think it is.  Just emphasizing caution on that.

True but it would be harder for Crazzyman to justify submitting a very well written piece on Gears of War 2 and giving it a 6/10.

ups i would like to be a reviewer but my english is not perfect yet =P

What if you don't like using review scores? I understand they're part of the format, but can a reviewer at least state something a long the lines of they personally don't feel the scores they gave out refelct the entire content of their review in the form of a disclaimer?

Are there any location restrictions where such person lives?

I'm aware of that, I'm asking that if you can state you're possibly adverse to it provided you do comply to it.

I would be able to send in reviews on Ps3, 360, Wii, PSP

I'm also a journalism major so when is the deadline?

do the reviewers make a review for the games they baught/rented or do they get access to them somehow different?

Improvements are caused by people who complain

@BrainBox: I believe it would put the score to a bad light.

@Naz: Actually i guessed your answer in advance.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

I think I just may send in a sample review... :) I'm a lead game designer @ THQ and I think more reviews need a developer point of view.
