lol.
Microsoft is building exactly the same kind of Karma that got Sony in this predicament.
I like it when he talks. He makes no sense, completely ignores the Wii, and is overly cocky and arrogant.
In a generation or two when MS faces the inevitable donwfall, comments that he makes right now are going to come and bit them in the ass. Every bitch has it's day.
Sure more people own a 360, but are they enjoying the console as much as the Ps3 owners are? Well no doubt they're all having lots of fun, Halo 3 is still very popular online. I'd be more interested in the % of wii owners that are satisfactorily entertained with their console. There just seems to be a lack of good titles lately. SSBB was my most recent purchase which was underwhelming and felt not as good as SSBM, and was quickly replaced by LBP as the #1 fun 4 player game in my house.
So in MY house it's the Ps3 that's the big winner, and not my wii.

From a business standpoint don't you think it would make more sense to develop a game on the console that has a higher attach rate and costs less to develop for(360 is easier to develop for than ps3 = less man hours = less $ to develop). I think the recession might actually help microsoft as they have the price advantage, bigger install base, lower development costs, and more growth in key markets.

Well from a business standpoint it's more likely more devs will be going multiplatform, most devs havn't been finding it difficult or expensive to port their games onto the ps3. What I don't like to see though is a rushed game trying to milk the market by coming out on every platform possible though, pc, ps2, ps3, 360, wii, ds, psp and i-phone.
CoD4 and 5 have both sold extrememly well on both consoles making lots of profit.

the current gap is realitivly small. This gen is not even half over yet and the gap between the 360 and PS3 could easily be overtaken and as well could double. (the later is extremely unlikley). The Wii is a perfect example of why your theory doesn't work. The Wii is killing both HD consoles and look at the crap games it is getting.
I don't know where you get more growth in key markets. All the 360 has done is matched its key markets from the original xbox. The only console that has had more growth in key markets is unfortunatly the Wii.
I am so glad nintendo execs dont talk this much shit, because franky, that could be talking a lot of shit right now. Give MS one opening and shit spews out of their mouths. WE GET THE POINT!!! You are doing fine, good job, now stop patting yourselves on the back.
