out of interest you know Sony said the other day their holiday sales were 130% up on last years holiday? That means if in december they sell less then last december they are officially talking crap right?

Sony said their December sales were up 130% over the previous weekly sales, not previous December.  Go look at those reports again.  They wrote the report in such a way that a lot of people made that same assumption.

They said sales were up 130% since Black Friday, not 130% up on last year's holiday, so no, it won't mean they are officially talking crap. They said 2008 sales were 40% up on 2007 sales, so we already know that December 2008 will be less than December 2007.

The unknown factor is how much it demolish everything else ( even past record performances ).

4 million would be absolutely epic and jaw dropping.

It looks like it has a solid chance to break the PS2's one month record of 2.7 million units. That record has stood for something like six years.

I'm going to be watching NeoGAF. If the Wii breaks that record, I expect the place to literally explode.
