Forums - Nintendo - No chance for Kid Icarus now?

Do you really think that a company backed financially by Nintendo to produce a game for one of their franchise would go bankrupt ?

Well at least they were producing a Wii tittle, theirselves admited it.

I doubt they were really working on Kid Icarus game. That was a rumor, nothing more.

"And yet, I've realized that maybe living a "decent" life means you won't ever have a "good" life."

If they were working on Kid Icarus, they wouldn't have gone under, as they would've been receiving funding from Nintendo, and thus would've been able to pay their employees.

Factor 5's Kid Icarus was never confirmed.. although there was some concept art released last year which seemed to suggest a more mature Kid Icarus.. but that could have been fan art. We may never know but hopefully this game will still be released.

There should have been two red lights that went off.

  1. Nintendo would not have let the artwork out. Nintendo is very secritive, so they would definatly not let anything break. Also, if they were real, Nintendo would have tried to deny it, but they didn't.
  2. Nintendo isn't looking for "mature" games, and that is what this game was. The Man Icarus is not where Nintendo is going. They are going against Next Generation and the game was spewing of those values. IGN  is made up of hardcore gamers (Matt included) who would want this kind of game. It's more their dream (plus it ups traffic).

Somebody else here already said it, but I'll repeat: If Nintendo want a Kid Icarus game released, there will be a Kid Icarus game released.
I like to think we'll hear something about it this year. Better to be optimistic and hopeful, than pessimistic and cynical, eh?

What! A series that hasn't has a new entry since the early 90's may not have a new entry!? NOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo!!!!

*explodes*

Despite IGN (i believe it's specifically Matt Casamassina in question) rumouring about Kid Icarus, it's only a rumour. Keep in mind, that IGN was rumouring about Gamecube too having a Kid Icarus game, if i recall. Although, the best indication about Kid Icarus been, at least, in consideration is Pits appearance in Brawl.

i agree with 1 but 2 is just crazy. look at some of the new IPs nintendo has been getting dynamic slash, disaster, both are pretty mature games. plus they published fatal frame IV. nintendo have nothing wrong with mature games on the system.of course im not saying the game was gunna be full of blook or anything but id imagaine it would be closer to zelda than mario in terms of maturity
