People that love killzone have waited for 2 years to buy a PS3 and been saying to themselves 'I'm not buying a PS3 until Killzone 2 comes out because there's nothing else worth playing'?

It will help sales. I think PS3 may outsell 360 the week killzone 2 comes out, but it won't be a permanent increase. A price cut would permanently put PS3 ahead of 360.

It may see some sort of short term bump but nothing major. More so in Europe than anywhere. It's not going to be anywhere near a MGS4 bump though. It needs a real price cut to have any kind of true and lasting impact and even then who knows because it needs to be $100 not just $50.

I think it could push the PS3 past in the 360 at least 2-3 weeks ww. Look at Call of Duty: World at War its already up to 2.51m. KZ2 is going to sell really well.

It is just an FPS, not a known AAA IP. Nothing groundbreaking to change the landscape.

The hype level is just not there. Sony is pushing it much less than it did R2. There is no market anticipation for it. The only people who care about it are Sony fans that already have a PS3.

If LBP and R2 could not make a dent on the PS3 sales, KZ2 does not stands a chance.
