Another quick point, was it just me or did anyone else also see slowdowns during that gameplay video?

Look, FACE FACTS and STOP BITCHING.
When people call it "GreyZone" I feel like saying STFU.
Crysis looks better than KZ2.
KZ2 looks freakin awesome (probably best ever on a console) and has great Physics and animation.


I think however Crysis's graphical edge is being eaten into.
Uncharted 2 vs Crysis should be interesting......

No, your fails amuse me. You criticise KZ2 for being gritty and grey? Have you ever seen Band of Brothers? Its dull and gritty but its fantastic. It shows how war is and is very appropriate. Would the Helgan look right in an Uncharted setting......No. Its like criticising Uncharted for being too colourful

On another note, why the hell is everything brown and gray? All those famazing grphics and they are rendering fust and trash? Really? REALLY? This game might as well look like Quake II, at least the sky in Quake II was a different color....

 

That's the environment of Helghan, there isn't much else to say about it. The setting of Killzone 2 is the planet of Helghan, a shitty and harsh planet where the Helghast fled to when they were defeated after they succeded from the UCN and declared themselves a seperate nation so they could continue to pose HUGE taxes on ships passing through into the systems beyond (something that was making them TONS of money and pissing Earth off).

Yeah... Band of Brothers wasn't graphically impressive, especially because of its gray and brown.... I'm willing to explore the Uncharted vs Crysis however.

That's funny, that sounds EXACTLY like Quake II's premise/excuse as well.... I mean, word for word, just substitute Helghan for Strogg.

I've never played the Quake games so I don't know the exact details.

Though I wouldn't call Wikipedia's explanation of the Strogg (or trailers of Quake 4 for that matter) a 'word for word' similarity to Killzone.

^Band of Brothers looks fantastic on Blu-Ray, just not colourful.
Please dont compare Quake to KZ2.
Its like comparing a 20" Bush CRT television against a Sony/Pioner 42" 1080p Plasma screen.

Strogg came to earth, we beat the shit out of them then we go to their homeworld to finish them off. That was like '94 or something....
