Euphoria - Yeah I chainsawed my way through Gears but only on easy... or medium (don't remember which one it was) but on hard you had to watch out because you were downed easily.

They do want to hate it, its that simple. I couldn't have said it better myself.
They also exceeded that CGI Trailer from E305, so they're going to pick at it like hell.
There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.
Meh, what do you really expect them to do?
They could either spend a lot of animation time having them melee you like crazy and then waste a lot of the AI programmers time trying to figure out just when the player is trying to cheese their way through the game or they could just let the occasional player who wants to cheese their way through the game cheese their way through the game.
I really doubt everyone is going to exploit this.

Only when I've beat the game a bajillion times.

I don't call "Knifing" your way through the game on Normal 'Flopping'. That is just plain rediculous if anyone thinks that.
Also, nothing will kill Halo, except Halo itself.

if this isn't picky as hell ,I don't know what is.
you can do this in most of the shooters on easy to normal difficulty.
one question comes up for me,,,,have they EVER played a FPS?i ve done something like this in cod 4 and 5 but after 10 min i went back to shooting/knifing cause it's more fun,

but knowing your post history you have the "I'm in my parents basement polishing my Master Chief helmet and secretly hoping KZ2 isn't as good as everyone says it is" syndrome.
