PS3

The PS3 version looks like even in the west it will sell more. I tried to answer this question myself and I started several Forums on several sites including IGN Gamespot And Here and I asked which Verison of FFXIII will you be getting. The majority of people said the PS3 version on all three sites. Also as other games have proven the 360 fanbase arent really to into JRPG's on a whole. I remember asking a Gamestop employee what good RPGs are out on 360 and what RPGs are coming to the 360. he said Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Fable 2 and hopefully a Fable 3. No mention of FFXIII at all.

And It just baffles me why Japanese devs continue to put out JRPG after JRPG on the Xbox 360 when its been a proven factor that they will essentially sell more on the PS3

1. Well but the titles should create a lot of sales in Japan and that's where PS3 has exclusivty (at the moment), and it still would sell well in the West on the PS since it has been on Sony's machines for ages.

2. Yes many of them did, but i still think that there are some people wanting to play Jrpg's on the PS3 (especailly early adopters)

3. Wii , most of them own a Wii.

square-enix games havent bombed on the 360 when a game sells over 500k , how in the hell is that a bomb. and star ocean 4 will prove , just like lost odyssey that a well made rpg can sell on a system not none for rpg's. i think here in the states, ff13 has a chance too sell more on it. and that could be if m$ promotes it and not square-enix. otherwise i say the ps3 version will out sell it easly everywhere else. the states are 360 country and rpg are improving in sales on the 360, so it does stand a good chance.

there are no DLC for final fantasy 13, square-enix said so themselves.

It will sell better in the west on PS3.

1. Brand recognition
Final Fantasy games have been associated with PlayStation since the 90s.

2. Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Anyone who wants the the counterpart will have to get a PS3 anyway.

ok, but currently there are no square-enix game with 500k(I know,the last remnant will reach) and besides you wanna tell me that selling 500k is a success for a game from a famous company like square-enix,come on( I'm sure they expected more).

FF13 Vs means everything to FF fans. The fact that the complete FF13 package is on Playstation formats means that has to be the choice for die hard fans. 360 is only getting Ff13. PS is getting FF13 and Vs and psp is getting ff 13 Agito. Anyways, FF 13 Vs will be along the more traditional FF games. World Map here we come :)

Only a casual FF player would get it on the 360 imo.

the 360 install base has not showed me enough evidence of them actually liking rpgs.
Lost Odyssey did good (still not a million) but most rpgs sell poorly in the west on the 360.
360 is a shooter based system, I bet it wont sell as well on the 360.
Look at tomb Raider on the 360 compared to ps3.
If FF13 was a shooter then i would agree that 360 would win, but based on who the xbox user base are, Its gonna be PS3.
