The current percentage is including three days of 2009. Wait until Japan numbers come in, then I'll do the math and figure out officially what the Wii had at the end of Dec. 31.

That's why i'm saying this before the Japanese numbers are added in, the Japanese numbers will probably tip it to 49.6, but factoring out the three days in 2009, we can safely say it was at 49.5%
Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)
I'm thinking those three days could end up tipping it back to 49.4%. :p

nah, the three days probably weren't big enough sales days for just the Wii to drop it that much

[rounding] = [50%] = [the letter "p"]??? |
technically you can use a letter to stand for another number, so "p" could be like what most ppl use "x" for so yeah

Sorry, I'm just being a smartass. Aside from the smiley, both sides of a = have to be the same thing! What you're saying is that the act of rounding is exactly the same as 50%, which makes no sense whatsoever. This is kinda advanced, though. My teacher laughed at me for doing it when I was 10. ^^
Now you round it up. Actually you can't, round it back down
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

49.5% rounded up to the nearest whole number = 50% =p

Can I round it up to 60M for my prediction, too?
