yes but like the other guy said to me the lbp numbers has already been fixed down like twice during the holiday months and now again? and by 500k isnt that like to much?.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't we quoted Engadget and IGN saying one thing, and three other sources saying another. That's hardly 1 site versus everyone else.

 

I don't see an engadget quote anywhere in this thread.

Again people, stop saying that it can't be off by that much. Take a look a past history and there have been numerous examples of discrepancies even larger. Software tracking is extremely difficult.

i think we'll have a pretty good idea which one is right when december NPD comes in. We know it is around 200k in the UK, we know the japanese numbers, and if we know the US numbers we should be able to figure it out.

Ok, I hear people saying it is shipped and some saying it is sold.

I was just over at Gamespot reading what was said during the conference.

If anything I say it is sold and not shipped and here is why.

[9:45] The PSP and PS3 "user base" is 61.3 million, says Stringer, before introducing SCEA prez Kaz Hirai. It is unclear if that means individual accounts or individual hardware units.

[9:48] Hirai talks up Little Big Planet, which has sold 1.3 million units worldwide.

Why would they use "sold" for the hardware and then "shipped" for the software?


Edit- VGChartz current PS3+PSP userbase is 62.7M which would also make me think that these numbers are recent. Very damn close to VGChartz numbers.

Seriously, how long are you guys gonna do this. How about putting it all on hold until there is something more, something indisputable to base your "arguments" off of. Even the people here saying the most logical things need to chill and stop trying to ram their argument down the other guys throat, it's just played out.

So is VG Chartz going to adjust the numbers to suit what Kaz said?

This kind of thing happens quite frequently, but in the majority of cases people don't make a big stink about it if they take notice at all.

I dunno, I'd take this with a grain of salt.

Don't we have the complete Japanese sales, GFK (which were recently announced to be over 300k I think) and NPD sales for this game?

Wouldn't that make it pretty accurate?
