I'll check it out for sure. I find Vista great unlike people say, and W7 should be an improvement.

yeah Vista isn't AS awful, especially after the newest service pack. My issue is that I use a lot of very specific programs  that are only made for xp. Yet, I think that getting to know Windows 7 right from the getgo might prove useful. MS got their butts kicked with Vista, and really had to start listening to their userbase, so Windows 7 should be interesting.

I won't be getting it. I have no need for all these new fangled features that these shiny new OSs have.

Far cheaper than that! I just picked up 4GB from Fry's Electronics for $30 and it has a $20 MIR so its really $10. Not bad for 4 gigs!

So has anyone dled this yet? I'm debating myself right now wether or not I should try it. Hopefully it doesn't cause my computer to crash and the power button to start flashing red  Never know with M$
