Forums - Nintendo - New Monster Hunter 3 interview + footage

Nintendo has sold 38+ million Wiis in the West. In other words there are nearly 5 times as many Wii's in the West as there are in Japan. It would be an exercise in stupidity not to port the game over. Besides, as its been stated before, Capcom said that they were looking to use MH3 to increase the series popularity in the West. Can't do that without releasing the game in the West.

Is it just me or the game lacks SHADOWING and has TO MUCH ANTI ALIASING?

Man, that would be one heckuva blow if they don't briing it overseas. I think I'd go take i from them.

that looks interesting. Never heard of monster hunter games until they got hyped to no end on this site as being a huge system seller.

Looks like a game that is boss battles only, lol. And going back to town and crafting armor and weapons and going out with friends then to fight monsters sounds like fun. I will have to pay a bit of attention to this.

Though not too much since not even announced for west yet, so why get myself pumped up for nothing

They'll bring it overseas, nevermind DMJ's gloomy forecast.

The game looks incredible.

I don't know how to explain it clearly ,this game's all about hunting monsters and crafting new equipments.(That's why we call it Monster Hunter ,ain't?lol)

You need be patient while play this game. Some high level equipment need many hours(or days for some unlucky guy.) to collecting materials and have to get used to die for many many times to learn monster's behaviour.

Multiplayer is the most funniest path for this game.If you not know enough about which monsters you going to kill ,you team may wiped out easily. While good team'll know what to do to take it down.(And prof. team able to kill boss monsters quite easily ,they even able to kill some boss within few mins.)

Hunting ,collecting and learning monsters behaviour. This's my opinion about what Monster Hunter is.

Eh...would would they talk about a Western release now though? They don't even have a Japanese date lol. I'm sure sooner or later they'll announce one.

@DMJ

Cry moar.

Err...

What am I crying about?

:S

Wii want it!!! It really looks good and still in early development stages.

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

More exciting is the question of what they will do with the engine?

What would Dead Rising have looked like on this engine

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Forget past games on the engine... Think of the newer games that will be released using it.

Albion - Its Fun as Ballz !!!!!
