I know this is a little late...........as in a few years late, but with the Max Payne movie out a few months ago (was it any good?), I loaded up my copy of Max Payne 2. Once again, I had a lot of fun with it. I am alone in thinking this game got a bad rap?

Both Max payne games are fantastic.

Max Payne games are hit or miss.

I thought they were okay. Not excellent, but enjoyable to play.

I just bought the Max Payne pack from Steam during the holiday sales (along with 12 other games) and I can say that it's a really good game. Even today it's playable, and the story, being told mainly separate from the gameplay, sets the mood up perfectly for shooting bad guys.

The controls are not perfect, and the enemies are almost impossible to kill neatly without the slow motion, but otherwise it's a blast. The change in sound and speed when you take enemies out in slowmotion is most satisfying.

The movie did some things right, but never really captured the mood of the game. And it totally forgot to be a good movie.

Indeed Max Paynes are great, now that Remedy (FINLAND) is doing Alan Wake,I might get Xbox 360..

I loved MAx payne 2 it was my fav of the two I love the story and the twist. It was short but thit is one of the few games that I have kept over the years and to this day, every once in a wile i pop it in and play though in about 3 1/2 hours. just like watching a movie
