360 > DS

This is just the beginning. 2009 will be the year of the 360.

So the 360 will outsell the DS in 2009? Hmm... Heard of supply constraints before? DS has been a monster for two-three years, I doubt that sales suddenly dropped by 90% on whim tbh.

Definately interesting week, a huge drop off for DS is understandable (maybe not as huge) but it sold amazingly during the holidays and it might be sold out in many areas. It will be back soon

Wii sold well, but there might be some supply issues soon so im interested how next few weeks look like.

Good sales for the PSP, it sell steadilly

All right for the 360 after a huge holiday season, and PS3 again dissapoints me.

Its all making sense

First the World goes into a resecion
then Isreal goes to war.
Now the ds only sells 71 thousand...
all part of the prophecy folks

2012 really is the end of the world!!!

The dead rising from the grave!

Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria! ...

Dr. Peter Venkman forgot to add the DS not selling 500,000 on any given week.

Out of all the stores i've been to over the last week the DS had the strongest suppy, so i'm pretty sure thats not the issue. Most peope would of bought it for their kids so its no really surprise to see their sales drop the most.

Okay there. If its not such a surprise to you, are you saying you would have predicted the DS to be at 78K? I seriously doubt that.

Just kiss the tip.

I hope weeks from now, when the DS shoots up suddenly in sales, people are equally surprised.

Oh my god, the DS sales nearly doubled this week, and no games came out at all! Why is this happening? It makes no sense!

Okay guys, use your heads here. How is it even a question what happened? The DS was the most popular video game system throughout the year and at Christmas in particular the US. Here are two possible explanations:

1) Suddenly and without warning, the demand for the DS completely fell apart and very few people want them anymore.

2) The system is supply constrained.

Which seems more plausible to you?

You know I'm a fan of this kind of argument, but I couldn't have put it better myself.

I like to think that the sky is falling... it just sounds better.  Any thing else is just kinda boring.

Which sounds more interesting Apocalypse or Supply Constraint (yawn).
