Hype can and does hurt if the hype exceeds how good the game actually is.

Hmmm I would be a happier man if they would scrap all those games and exchange it with ME2 and Crackdown 2. I am not really interested in most of those games :(.

 Good point, but most 360 games get no hype at all , so a "fair" amount of hype has got to be better than no hype.

Don't flatter their behaviour with imitation. Hype should stem from a genuine, sincere desire, not a fabricated rivalry to belittle the competition. Most of the PS3 exclusives this year deserve the hype, KillZone 2 looks great. Personally I'm more excited for Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2, and I don't give a rats if the 'rival' clique can play them on their console.

Maybe killzone does deserve the hype, but every ps3 game gets hyped the same way............

Hence its time to hype 360 games.

Haze had WAY more hype than TH,Remember its gonna it was the KZ2 type game before it flopped,HUGE hype.

I'm really hoping one of Dead Island, Theseis or Venetica will become a sleeper hit. Three genres that no console ever can have enough games in (zombie, adventure, action adventure).

Lets all hype Crackdown 2 as the next coming and maybe we will force the developer's hands.
