"Computer games" can mean "video games" in the US too, though, and in many other countries as well. PC games is a lot more specific.

I think he meant top 20 sellers in 2007...and then top 20 sellers in 2008.

We also don't know if it is meant to say that these games should have seen the light of day for the first time in 07/08.

Yes, I meant the top 20 computer games (video games) across all formats (including PC) for 2007 and 2008. Not combined years but individual top 20 lists showing the sales across all formats for each year.
