Pretty straight-forward question I got after reading the "crazy dude predicts US invading Mexico" thread: What country should your country annex? What possibilities would it bring?

I'm kinda hoping that the Netherlands will at some point merge (or annex) the Northern part of Belgium - Flanders. We already speak the same language and celebrate most big holidays all together. The mutual benefits would be substantial aswell. The Netherlands will have control over the biggest and second (or third?) biggest harbors in Europe (Rotterdam and Antwerp respectfully.) The Hague and Brussels could work together more effectively (one houses a lot of international tribunals, the other several other international HQ's). For Flanders, they can finally enjoy the Europe and World-cups again, don't have to worry about the Walonians anymore and get a more uniform government for once!

Norway should annex Scotland, Northern England, Ireland, Iceland, Greenland, Shetland, the Faroe Islands and western Sweden, thus getting back to the size the Kingdom had in the 13th century.

New Zealand, they're as much a part of Australia as Tasmania is :P

I think the US should rule a world wide empire, just like Rome.

They either need to become a state or their own country... right now they're getting two ends of a good bargin.

Kasz I disagree, we should cut them loose whether they like it or not. Give 'em 50 billion or so, that way they can't complain.

Get the gun nuts out of Alaska and it's pretty much Canada, so I'd annex that and Vermont really has a Canadian mentality, so we'd take those two states.

A small proportion of people seriously want the annexation of Turks and Caicos Islands so that we could travel and spend our money in a Canadian territory when we escape the winter by heading South.

England should annex Burgundy, Helvetia, The Kingdom of Aragon, The Byzantine Emp. and the Teutonic Knights. 'Why?', you ask. Because it would be awesome, that's why! :D

Russia should get control of belarus. I mean the name is right there, belarus means little russia. And of courses, it should get latvia, estonia, and lithuania. The people of those small countries are suffering because of sketchy western-backed leadership. Parts of Ukraine might need to go too.
South Ossetia and the other breakaway region of georgia should lobby to get some sort of union with russia. Russia takes care of defense, in return for some political control.
